How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
In a conversation in 2009 with someone at the Hub in Amsterdam. I enrolled immediately in the next class that was given in the Netherlands, with some great teachers/hosts. And two of these hosts are now my dear co-hosts in our own trainings on participatory leadership!
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
Hosting is part of who I am. With hindsight I can now say I hosted (en still do :-) my family, it's the role I take in many situations. In my work I host participatory processes in the public sector. Experienced practitioner.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
complex social domains, multi stakeholder, bringing parties together to truelly innovate services in society. Technology is important in my work, since it brings so many possibilities tot start reconnecting in new ways. Building coalitions on sustainability, civic participation, changing roles of gov't in society.
