Profile Information

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I attened an AoH workshop in Järna Sweden in March 2013 and was amazed about the cooperation and power that emerged in the group during the training. It was very inspirational and meaningful and so different from the majority of workshops I have ever attended in my life so far.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I am a beginner in AoH but I would be able to apply it very quickly in my daily work, where I organise and implement a lot of workshops and conferences with groups of people ranging from 30 - 100 participants. I love to try new approaches and to challenge the participants.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
My main field is bringing together people from different levels of governacne around the topic of sustainable development; allowing them to exchange experiences and opinions equally no matter if they are from an NGO, National Ministry or Research organisation. I am responsible to hold space for all of them and create an athmosphere of trust and allow them to find a common language they all can communicate in across governance or sectoral boundaries. I also need to harvest results and recommendations from practical approches in project work and have to "translate" them into policy recommendations that are of use for the development of new policies in the field of sustainable development. Topics cover mainly climate change, sustainable consumption and production, education for sustainable development as well as resilience;
Where do you live/work?
I live in Stockholm, I mainly work in the Baltic Sea Region.
Would you like to share a web address?
http://www.cbss.org
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
I am very interested in permaculture design concepts and urban agriculture as well as voluntary simplicity and enjoy very much a frutiful exchange of knowledge and expriences in this field.
