How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
Hello there et bonjour!
I heard about the Art of Hosting through Veronica Vivanco who works with the Dynamo team in Montreal. I benefited from the Leadership Rassembleur training program, initiated through and funded by Centraide (United Way) of Grand Montreal and have since been seeking out similarly inspired spaces for dialogue and social change.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I am brand new to this philosophy, movement , and approach. I just visited your website today for the first time.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
I have over fifteen experience working with a diversity of youth in Montreal and Vancouver, doing personal and community transformation and development work which speaks to my passion in doing radical work with and for youth. My last position was as the Executive Director for a one-of-a-kind 40 year-old autonomous youth organization called 'Head & Hands - A deux mains' which offers an independent medical clinic, legal services, social & counselling services, a young parents' program, community drop-in centre, crises support, street work and opportunities for creative team and leadership development with youth across Montreal.
I'm passionate about development work that is collaborative, creative and progressive in nature, based on principles of anti-oppression.
I'm currently seeking out new opportunities in related fields and am looking for inspiration and continuous development opportunities.
