How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I first discovered AoH in October 2011 and was immediately fascinated and inspired. Fortunately, in early 2012 I was also in a position to invite two AoH trainers to organise a training course for my colleagues and I in preparation for various participatory events that we were organising on behalf of the European Commission.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I'm a starting practitioner experimenting with different scales of hosting - the largest gathering to-date is 400. I'm enjoying the journey of discovery about AoH and keen to explore its full relevance to my professional and personal life
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
I work to support an EU policy network and AoH (or Participatory Leadership) is being actively promoted within my current working environment. But in the longer term I am very interested to explore the relevance and application of AoH to more grass-roots work on rural development and environmental issues in Romania and the Western Balkans
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
Life and work are very busy at the moment - I'm looking forward to taking a little time for myself to reflect and engage more with AoH. My big interest at the moment is to participate in a full AoH training and to take a few more small steps to becoming more centred, skillful and courageous.......thank-you
