How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
A colleague told me about the Theory U/Art of Hosting workshop a week before the event in 2012. I've been intrigued by Theory U and World Cafe methodology for years, it was time for me to get involved!
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I am an experienced practitioner continuing to develop my skills through our community and client events. Held first successful Innovation Cafe for a client team of 60 in June, 2012. In 2014, hosted cafes for another client that confirms the projects are gaining momentum still in 2016 because we engaged their teams. Incorporating Story Listening in my events as well...brilliant tools!
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
My work is applying AoH in the corporate environment, specifically in helping organizations create a Culture of Innovation as well as engaging stakeholders in discovering organizational "purpose" and the impact they want to create in the world.
