How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
February 2011 - on the internet... I have come across this site many times, often linking through ALIA or World Cafe. The word "hosting" is what calls me into this community.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I believe my life's work is hosting and creating the space for transformation. I do this work today in "corporate" as an OD specialist and change facilitator. I host small and large groups, teams and leaders in development programs, and I coach. I consider myself experienced in that I have been doing this work for over ten years and am often teaching others. However, I am 35 and know I haven't yet gotten close to the deepest form of this art or my life's work.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
My primary field is within organization development, internal to large organizations. I am also starting to host an online community for GenX women. One of my other focus areas in on the creation of sacred space (physical and between people); another areas of focus is on Gen X; and yet another is on use of labyrinth as a physical practice and metaphorical leadership journey.
