How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
Christina Foster invited me to The Art of Hosting and Harvesting Conversations that Matter on May 23-25, 2011. I knew nothing about AoH, but Christina said it would be of interest to me. I was hungry to collaborate with other facilitators and was looking for ways to supplement my facilitation skills.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
The fundamental belief that we know more together than we know alone has taken root in my work and in my personal life. This attitude is an extension of my spiritual life, of my teaching/parenting, and of my facilitation work. From hosting appreciation circles for my kids' teachers to facilitating paid workshops both domestically and internationally, AoH has infused tools and community into the heart of my work.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Education
Where do you live/work?
Grayslake, IL
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
I am interested in collaborating with others to co-create a series of practice/learning opportunities around this question: How can we Navigate the Groan Zone more effectively to promote sustainable relationships during emergence?

Welcome to the AoH network Kirsty, good to (finally!) have you here! There are an amazing amount of resources here on the Ning -- we hope you also add to them. There are also a wide variety of groups to join, including regional and language groups. And, the more you add to your profile, the more others can help and support you -- adding a picture is always a nice tough. Hope you learn and contribute heaps here!
