How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?

Lina Cramer and Joanne Kelly invited me to attend the Art of Hosting in Springfield, IL in 2009 and again in 2010. Interested in a new way of connecting, working with and engaging people.

Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)

After attending the 2009 AoH I came back to Adams County and held a conversation with the faith community to better develop relationships and energy around what is possible when faith and community come together to help cultivate strong families and communities. Since then I have hosted 6 other AoH conversations with community and faith based to deepen relationships, build trust and move towards intentional community action together.

What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?

Focus has been what is possible when we all come together to cultivate strong families and communities that thrive.
