How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I have heard for a long while of the glory of Art of Hosting through Authentic Leadership in Action, Rachel Derrah & Sophia Horwitz.
Then, but a week ago, I took Art of Collaborative Leadership because my life is full of collaborative delight and have been very much enriched!
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I am new, since I just took my first course, but have been using Art of Hosting techniques for a few years now and have been facilitating and planning events (with many Art of hosters) for most of my adulthood.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
I focus on youth engagement, community consultations, Social Enterprise, theatre/performance art events and music.
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
I am passionate about making money and changing the world for the better, and obsessed with my homeland. I would love to change the way people see themselves as actors in the world, and re-frame have-not attitudes. I think people should have fun! I am a cellist/guitarist/singer/songwriter, I am passionate about public shared spaces and Place Making, Crowd Sourcing & digital democracy, and cultivating shared visions and engaging the public in creating brighter futures.
