How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
It was the first time in Järna, Stockholm through YIP (Youth Initiative Program) that I heard about it through Nathan and Pieter who participated in a training in Oslo 2009.
Later I learned about AoH through YIP, Chaordic Stepping Stones with Valentine and later through a training in Kalundborg january 2012 and another one in Lund 2012.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I am a new starting practioner. Before I started to get involved in social entrepreneurship and in getting engaged in creating positive change in the world, I observe myself as rather sensitive to social dynamics. With that sensitivity I have been practicing in the field of hosting just in holding that in consciousness (holding myself, a group and the creative flow in mind). Now I feel it is the first thing I think about when I am working with collegues and in university around group process and creating something together. Purpose is crucial as Art of Hosting brings forth that aspect even stronger in me.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Water. I like it because water always wants to organize itself in a circle. And it also has an aspect of flow and ease with it. What I am curious in is to bring natural laws and phenomenas into the social world of everyday interactions between people as well as larger organised gatherings. I believe nature can teach us alot in both process and content as I am inspired in doing work for the Baltic Sea and the people around it.
My focus in hosting work is to unveil the underlying reason of being together as a group at a specific time in a specific place. WHAT WILL EMERGE?!?!
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
Yes. I love water. I am interested in science and how science in its traditional sense can merge with more human artistic quality in bring about a perspective on reality that can become an entry point for multi stakeholder dialogue around the topics that matters in this time.
thank you for asking so good questions.
