How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?: I learned about it from my friend, Michelle Archuleta, when we traveled to South Africa on a Berkana learning journey with Meg Wheatley in the Fall of 2007.

Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward): I purchased books on World Cafe, Open Space, Appreciative Inquiry, and Circle in early 2008 and began to use the techniques until I was finally able to attend the Art of Hosting in June 2010 in Edmonton. I am a teacher, facilitator, and coach at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. I would describe my competence as an experienced learner!

What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?: My hosting work varies. I work with staff at the Cancer Center hosting meetings about cultural competency, strategic planning, leadership, and change. I have also hosted some meetings in the community on the topic of health disparities.

Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?: I am passionate about creating an environment of inclusion. I am also passionate about helping people build strong relationships. I have begun to write a book about relationships and I am collecting stories about successful relationships.
