How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
Colleague Jerry Nagel, not sure exactly when, but have been wanting to experience it for a couple of years. Had the opportunity to partner with Jerry and Chris Corrigan last week and will be in an AoH training as an apprentice host in January in MN.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I am an experienced practitioner of many of the methods, have hosted circle practice for more than 15 years. I've hosted many World Cafes, Open Spaces and AI practices over the years. I have attended many workshops with the developers of these methods. I am new to the AoH community.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
I design, facilitate and host cross discipline/sector processes for social change. I have 30 years in the field of Organization Development. I teach collaborative/relational/ participatory leadership development and teach in a master's program in Org. Leadership.
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
Interested in the theoretical/academic underpinnings of AoH (social construction/relational theory). Jerry Nagel and I are both doing PhD work through Tilburg University. My topic focus is relational leadership and sustainability of communities of practice.
Ginny - wonderful to have you here! I see you are a contributing author to a book waiting to be read on my Kindle. Looking forward to learning from you.
