How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
The Art of Hosting held a training at the Essex Conference Center in Essex Massachusetts a few years ago. At the time I was co-executive director of Sustainable Cape Ann and we were doing a lot of our local community work according to the Emergence Theory Model. Attending a local Art of Hosting training was a great chance to become formally part of this larger field of social innovation in the Boston area. I have been using Art of Hosting modalities and frameworks for the last three years as part of my local work on Cape Ann.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
I am the founder of A Woman's Guild which is a social network that calls forth, connects, and hosts the apprentices, artisans, and masters of the Great Work. We believe women's passions can meet the world's deep needs and that women in the 21st century are standing at the crossroads between the cosmic and the wild. The restoration of woman, the wild, and of the planet Earth has become the modern Holy Grail for women. The Art of Hosting is a gorgeous platform from which to do this kind of collaborative work.
