Profile Information

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I've been a practitioner of dialogic-based change methods for more than 10 years, using AI, Open Space, World Cafe, Future Search, Whole Scale and other philosophies and approaches. I first learned of the AoH community in Columbus Ohio via mutual friends in 2009. I am excited to see people from many disciplines and professions learning how to host meaningful conversations and propel change, energy and action in the communities they serve.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I am an experienced practitioner in AI, Open Space, and World Cafe. I've participated, designed, hosted, and supported numerous AoH events over the past 10 years. I blend and mix these approaches with other large group change technologies, namely Future Search, the Conference Method, and Whole Scale Change. I've taken master classes with Diana Whitney, Jane Macgruder Watkins, Peggy Holman, Steve Cady, Kathie Dannemiller, Dick Axelrod, and many others who began experimenting and inventing these approaches in the late 80's. My professional training in the field of Organization Development emphasized developing competency in these philosophies, and they have impacted how I lead and manage others in both my personal and professional life.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
I use hosting technologies in my change management consulting practice. Clients have included non-profit, government and for-profit organizations.
Where do you live/work?
Columbus. Ohio
