How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I attended the Illinois Art of Hosting retreat in June 2010. I am a starting practitioner using the world cafe and open space technology in my community work around families and young children. I have just started exploring circles as a community engagement practice.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
At this point I consider myself an apprentice. I have used the practices of Art of Hosting for over five years and have integrated the five fold practice into my personal and professional life. I am going deeper in my understanding and learning about myself more in the process.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
I work primarily in bringing community together in support of children, youth, and families.
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
My interest at this point of my work is how we can use Art of Hosting practices to better help those working together in a common cause to understand and communicate their work. More typically called evaluation with all of it's baggage, I want to deepen my practice of taking evaluation into harvest and sustainability.
