- How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
- First I heard of Art of Hosting in spring 2012 and was partly in the hosting team of an further education offer in Linz AT July 2012 for people who are working in "union schools" in Austria in guidance and counceling the process over the two years. Second was an further education for people in training in a department of BFI Upper Austria, integration & empowerment (again in hosting team).
AoH is attractiv for me because of its participatory approach, it offers ways that also very big, very differing groups can speak and work together and meet each other to find new ideas and creative solutions, where all can and are invited to participate.
- Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
- I have learned in different fields of groups that this approach with its methods are realy a way that people participate on discussions, they normaly not do e.g. political processes in community themes, developement processes in adult education.
My competence:
practitioner in AoH but experienced practitioner sind 25 years in guidance of group processes (with participatory approach since I started).
- What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
- To offer space for all to participate in changing processes in the way they want and to invite them for that in differant organisations, settings and goals.
- Where do you live/work?
- Upper Austria, AT
- Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
- sustainability (in different areas eg economics, ecology, society)
