How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I heard about it via a Tweet I think . . . attended my first workshop in October 2010 in Ottawa, Canada. Awesome!
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I'm a new practitioner, with some core competencies in aspects of hosting. Pleased to be in a Community of Practice group in Ottawa. 2011's going to be good, I can tell.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
To build a community of practice that can help prepare many people for coming profound challenges to our communities, with a changing economy, peak oil, and climate change.
Where do you live/work?
In the country, west of Ottawa; Ontario; and in Ottawa part-time
Hello Andrew and welcome. I too had my first Art of Hosting workshop in October (Bowen Island), and your blog post about Eric's tomato reminded me of a wonderful gentlemen I met there (and who is part of this online community) who is passionate about food justice - Steven Byers.
Look forward to learning with you in the Art of Hosting.
