How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I first heard about Art of Hosting from some friends I met in different meetings and trainings. And I have participated in the 10o Art of Hosting Brazil, last week, in São Francisco Xavier, São Paulo.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I have been researching and practicing different dialogue and conversation approaches and methodologies during at least the last 4 years, as part of my action research Phd work on communitarian communication for sustainability, with a community in the Brazilian Amazon. It was a wonderful discovery to meet Art of Hosting this year, and to know that many methodologies and approaches I am working with are part of the work of AoH. It was like somehow getting home, or finding a community of practice with which I feel great affinity.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Communitarian communication and dialogues for the transition to sustainability.
Where do you live/work?
Viçosa, Minas Gerais/Rio de Janeiro/Amazônia - Brazil
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
Transition to a sustainable culture. I see this transition as a transition from a culture based on experiences of separation and fragmentation to a culture of connection and communication: (re)connection with the Source in ourselves, with others, with Nature.
