How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I have been a facilitator for years and practiced some of the exercises used in AOH. November 2011 I attended a learning session at Hub Amsterdam for a deeper understanding and connection to the process and to sharpen and expand my abilities.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I have hosted various communities and youth organisations in various countries as they wrestled with social, economic and cultural challenges for over 16 years. Most of the work has been intuitive and an amalgam of various practices. I am an experienced practitioner and encourager of others.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Recently it has been youth and disadvantaged communities, but I am often called upon to work with strategic organisational change.
Where do you live/work?
Live in Oud Beijerland but work worldwide
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
I am a world traveler and advocate for personal and community empowerment, primarily through artistic expression, interactive learning and collaboration.
I am passionate about helping people pursue their passions, identifying and executing their talents and overcoming obstacles in the process. I like to see people win together.
