How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
Dojo Learning Village, Copenhagen, Dec 18&19, 2010
Leading Transformation Across Collaborative and Hierarchical Cultures, ALIA conference, The Netherlands, March 8-12, 2011
Art of Hosting training, Karlskrona, Sweden, March 17-20, 2011
I had the good fortune of discovering the Art of Hosting at Toke's learning village dojo last December. As a facilitator, I was instantly attracted by the authenticity, heart, and the hope it gave me for working with groups on a much deeper level.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I consider myself a starting practitioner with the Art of Hosting. In 2011, my thesis mates (Tracy Meisterheim , Steven Cretney) and I completed our Master's thesis (Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability) looking at how the approaches used in the Art of Hosting network could deepen engagement in strategic planning for sustainability. After meeting and interviewing so many of the amazing practitioners in the AoH network, immersing ourselves in trainings, and practicing hosting, I am on fire for integrating hosting into my work as a sustainability practitioner. With gratitude to those who so generously contributed to our research, the output from our thesis is available for free download at: theweave.info
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Primary focus is sustainability, but also finding opportunities to practice locally in support of greater community cohesion.
Where do you live/work?
British Columbia and across Canada
Would you like to share a web address?
http://www.theweave.info
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
