STORIES for CHANGE is an on-going conversation series about the power and practice of story in shaping our lives and creating our future. Each conversation will happen online, last 90 minutes and begin 10:00 PST/19:00 CET. We are practicing a gift economy so everyone can join.
Our kick-off conversation 17 November: ARE LEADERS MISSING THE SHIP?: Why leadership needs a new story & what it might be — Guests: Phil Cass & David Stevenson
Leadership seems to be one of the key buzzwords of today, but what does it mean? We have been through the time of the heroic leader, the results-oriented leader and the situational leader, and yet today’s challenges demand something else. What is the inner journey great leaders need to make? Join us in a conversation about the changing story of leadership and what it might become in service of our collective future.
Our special guests are Phil Cass, CEO of four affiliated not-for-profit health corporations (the Columbus Medical Association, Columbus Medical Association Foundation, Physicians Care Connection and Central Ohio Trauma System), and David Stevenson, Executive Director of Community Partnerships and Renewal with the British Columbia Ministry for Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation. Both are dedicated long term practitioners of participatory practice and have their own individual personal practices which support their professional work. Both are deeply thoughtful about what leadership takes in these times of complexity and challenge.
This will be a highly interactive and stimulating conversation!
