Event Description

Are you longing to express yourself fully and authentically, yet in a way that nurtures rather than damages the relationship?

Would you like to have more fulfilling interactions with your partner, your colleagues, the members of your family or the ones of your community?

Nonviolent approach to communication (NVC) emphasizes compassion as the motivation for action rather than fear, guilt, shame, blame, coercion, threat or justification for punishment. It improves communication with ourselves and with the others, in the family, in school, at work, between people of different cultures, ages, religions, genders and political views.

This experiential workshop will give participants an opportunity to understand and practice NVC as developed by Marshall Rosenberg, through demonstrations, role-playing and exercises. Participants will be invited to apply NVC to concrete challenges from their own life situations. In this way, they will practice basic NVC skills to integrate the NVC model in various spheres of life – in families, at work, as well as in building healthy communities.

Participants will learn and practice to:

v    listen with empathy - hear the needs behind difficult messages

v    be honest and sincere without hurting others

v    stay calm and centered in challenging situations

v    say “no” in a connecting way

v    express feedback in ways that enhance relationships

v    learn to give empathy to yourself and to recognise your needs

Language: the workshop will be lead in English with Italian translation.
