Event Description

S-Initiative: Κατάλυσις– Awakening and innovating our own solutions

hosted by the Living Wholeness Practice, SoL Greece & Synergy

We - a small group of Greeks and Internationals living in Greece, and working with systems thinking & organisational learning, complex systemic projects, social art and psychology - believe that we need a more generative way to find our own way forward.  Therefore we are initiating a systemic transformation process called S-Initiative: Κaτάλυσις (Katalysis). We wish to illuminate emerging ideas and catalyse new connections that lead to social innovation to enterprising and entrepreneurial activities  and that support a generative spirit and vision in the country.

Our aim is to create and host spaces that move us collectively from the current paralysis, through despair, towards hope and the belief that we can ourselves create new socio-economic thinking, values and skills.  We are inviting people to remember, reclaim, re-imagine who we are and want to be for ourselves and as members of the world community.

How can you participate, and Κατάλυσις, with us?

We want to raise the initial funds to launch the S-Initiative: Κατάλυσις at this critical moment, to catalyse the energy of collective protest to collective enterprising:

Raise $25,000 towards

1. An Art of Participatory Leadership Learning Event – a 3-day training for up to 45 new innovators, active citizens, artists, business and community leaders and those, ready to step up into new forms of leadership and innovation that are aligned with the Greek psyche and culture.

2.  Launch event – Aγορά (Agora) -  An art-based, conversational evening to bring together 200-300 people in a collective conversation for networking and connecting to see a bigger picture and inspiration for creating  a collaborative future.

See: Katalysis Indigogo Launch Campaign

Join us...to re-member, re-claim and re-imagine!

Best wishes,

Dear Friends,

This is the story of "The Athenian Circle", our first circle, a parea gathering  having Greece in the centre and empowering our care and collective intention, practice and will for change...

The story was featured in the PeerSpirit Circle Tale of January 2012 and it offers a good context ~background and future perspectives~ of the unfolding of this Initiative...
Please also note that the next phase of our Indiegogo Crowdfunding campaign is now on here: http://www.indiegogo.com/S-Initiative-Katalysis-Phase-II ...

An opportunity to contribute as much as you can in a tangible and valuable way for us at this crucial stage and become our Muse, Hercules, Apollo ... supporting us with energy, power and the light of your Solidarity, Art of Hosting love...
Sharing is power, too, so please share with your friends and networks!

THANK YOU!

With Love on behalf of the team,

Maria

The next PHASE FROM INTERVENTION TO FRIENDSHIP in Greece:

S-KatalysiS - Awakening and Innovating our own Solutions in Greece is a collaborative call of the Living Wholeness Practice with partners, Synergy and Sol Greece - andscale-across initiative witnessing and amplifying the true and authentic of Greece...the power and 'currency' of relationship.

Read: Walk out Walk On - and visit the WOWO website: to see the Greece Chapter From Intervention to Friendship

"In our pursuit to find what works, we seldom notice how disempowering it is when we look for answers from experts and best practices created elsewhere. At the Art of Learning Centering at Axladitsa-Avatakia, participants walked out of dependence on experts and learned to trust the capacities and creativity available in friendship to address their community’s needs.

As one participant in the recent S-KatalysiS gathering at the Hilton in Athens, a session was called:  Co-creating our own IMF - Investing in Mutual Friendship or Facilitating New Ways...:)

You are most welcome to participate and KatalysiS with us...!

The First Event of this Initiative took place on Saturday the 17th of December! It was the FIRST TIME that both OPEN SPACE & World Cafe were used in Greek, with Greek participants and on Greek soil... The process was open enough to dance with english as well in beautiful moments for all to contribute and understand... An example is that the Open Space sessions were announced in both languages and some sessions were in English and Greek... while all weaved through harmoniously in the magical closing circle...
We are going to share the harvest(s) and more impressions and reflections ~ but here is a set of photographs from the Day for a ...feel of the space: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2926737206297.2152634.119...

Much Love and Gratitude for your support, dear AoH Global Community!

Maria

Summary of S-Initiative: Katalysis:
(1) agora events (with the true meaning of agora - exchange of ideas and imagination) where diverse people can come together and find new collective meaning together, seed new projects or just meet some friends to keep going with whatever they are 'cooking',

(2) learning spaces like art of participatory leadership where people can dive deeper into a new world view and practice with others,

(3) 'pop up' conversations and art moments - where people can meet at a cafe or theatre, be taken by surprise that others like them are breeding hope,

(4) research and harvesting - capturing what we are learning and sharing it with others,

(5) innovation and enterprising - helping each other with our local efforts - to begin or continue and

(6) who knows what else?
