How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I think that my first introduction to AoH was at Kufunda Village in 2006 where I experienced it being used as a community operating system. While the language was a bit new, the principles, practices and values were deeply held in me and as I explored them more deeply, I discovered that I have been an AoH practitioner in my organizational work for many years. Since 2006, I have been a participant, apprentice, more experienced practitioner and have attended the Stewards gathering 2 years ago and will be attending again this year (does that make me a steward? I am not sure that I am ready for such a label).
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
My career has been in nonprofit healthcare for 35 years and much of my hosting work has been in this setting. I am also trained in Holacracy and Ontological Coaching. I am currently listening to the call for my next focus or area of work.
Where do you live/work?
I live in rural Eastern Oregon and live wherever life and work calls me with a special affinity for the global South
