How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I have participated in a few Art of Hosting experiences within the Canadian labour movement, specifically in Ottawa. I am attracted to the commitment to liberation which is expressed in the practices of hosting very meaningful conversations - which are themselves a form of action.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I would say I am a starting practitioner - I have incorporated parts of the practice into my broader work as a researcher and facilitator of conversations.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
I am passionate about finding alternatives to authoritarianism and hierarchy in our societies and to creating spaces where people may truly find a voice, in all forms of expression.
