How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
Through Activating Change Together for Community Food Security in Nova Scotia. Around July or early August. In recognizing that we each come from diverse experiences and expectations, I am interested in tools to facilitate open communication in order to support the well-being of individuals and community. I think that the skill-set outlined as Art of Hosting is a great toolkit for any endeavour.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I am new to Art of Hosting.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Community food security, knowledge mobilization and community education and training.
Where do you live/work?
Halifax. Mountain Equipment Co-op and Activating Change Together for Community Food Security in Nova Scotia
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
I love to be outside and active - hiking, canoeing, biking, dancing, yoga. I like to be connected with my food through planting, tending, harvesting, cooking and sharing nourishment with friends and family.
