How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
While completing my MA in Adult Ed, I studied methods such as Open Space, AI, World Cafe and Future Search and had the good fortune to co-facilitate and experience some of these methods in practice. Then in 2008, when doing research for my thesis, I came across the AoH mailing list and subscribed (and have since gratefully listened in on the conversations there)
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I think I have aimed towards some of the values of Art of Hosting as a f2f facilitator and online facilitator over the past 3-4 years. However, I haven't attended any training session (although I would love to!!!)
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Organization development and online communities (growth, engagement, stewardship)
Where do you live/work?

I am reading your Master’s Thesis with great interest- thank you for writing it. I have recently taken up an academic position and am interested in making the Art of Hosting my research focus, and your thesis was one of the few academic papers I could find, besides those of Meg Wheatly and Peggy Holman. I have found many theories that AoH methods seem to overlap- Participatory Leadership, Whole System Theory, Social Systems Theory, Organisational Systems, Collaborative Learning... it seems to have a link to many but no real ‘home’ that I can see- any suggestions?
