Profile Information

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I first heard about Appreciative Inquiry and World Café 10 years ago through a friend but only connected those practices to Art of Hosting very recently: through Mary Alice Arthur whom I met last year (2017), May 19th-20 in Heidelberg at the Beyond Storytelling Conference.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I work as an intercultural consultant and as a facilitator for digital Storytelling Workshops in a social context with a bunch of narrative and cocreative methods. But I am new to the concept of Art of Hosting. I guess I will come across things I do, but eventually learn a lot more.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
I have two main fields: Intercultural teams generated through mergers or joint ventures. Second, I work with groups of mostly vulnerable people connected to NGOs and other non-for-profit organisations.
Where do you live/work?
Cologne, Germany
Would you like to share a web address?
http://StoryAtelier.org
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
Creative techniques, creating spaces for creativity, Storytelling with Multimedia devices, MBSR (Mindful Based Stress Reduction), Yoga, Hiking

Hallo Astrid,

Rolf

Hello, Astrid, and welcome to the Art of Hosting community! Glad to see you here. Post a photo when you can so we can really "see" you here. Then join in with all the conversations. You'll find plenty of resources here, too, to help you deepen your practice. And the more you add to your profile, the more the community can learn from you and share with you. We hope you will find value in exchanging in this virtual community! On another note, I am also an interculturalist! We should exchange at some point on this fascinating subject! Be well...
