For people interested in growing their capacity to host important social or economic topics, an Art of Hosting calling coming out of conversations with people active in faith communities and open to all who feel called to leading, convening and engaging using participatory approaches.
This calling emerged from conversations with people active in faith communities. Many people working either as professionals or volunteers in faith communities are increasingly being asked to host conversations about important topics outside of their faith activities, especially in rural communities. Often times they have had little experience or training in hosting conversations about important social or economic topics not directly faith related. Yet, in their positions as faith leaders they are asked to step up to host other conversations of importance.
This is an open enrolment AoH, not exclusively focused on the faith community although we expect a large number of the participants will be professionals and active volunteers in faith communities. Any who are interested in participating in an AoH training are welcome.
The costs and expenses have been kept low to keep this training more broadly accessible and participants can make their own choices about food and lodging.
Are you ready for a different kind of conversation?
Join us in St. Paul April 17-19, 2012.
