December 8: ELDER-ELLAS & ELDER-FELLAS: Eldership, apprenticeship & a new story of intergenerational possibility — Guests: Juanita Brown & Toke Paludan Møller
Once upon a time there was a young man off to slay a dragon who met an old woman by the side of the road... What really happened there? Our stories tell us about the importance of elders, but our world seems to make our olders into elderlies. How can we reclaim the story of graceful, potent eldership, the power of apprenticeship and the joy of intergenerational co-creation and bring those benefits to bear on the challenges we face now?
Our guests are Juanita Brown, the co-founder of the World Café, an innovative, face-to-face and virtual approach to large group dialogue and engagement now being used by leaders on six continents to foster constructive engagement on critical organizational and societal issues, and Toke Møller, co-founder of the Art of Hosting network, who has been pioneering in the fields of sustainable entrepreneurship, participatory leadership, educational renewal, and social responsibility since the early 1970s
We are experimenting with gift economy on these calls so everyone can join in. Check the website for more details and to register: http://mary-alice.wix.com/thestorydojo#!stories-for-change/c1n7j
