In which People from Myrada in India speak about how development cooperation was turned upside down: usually Western agencies/NGOs/donors would need to make a Needs Assessment and “the good ones” would not only do it from their desk but actually go to the community and asks them: what are your problems? What are your needs? …turning all the attention to the deficits! And with the problematic implication that people also assumed that if they stated their needs, they would actually be met ( a cow…). With AI apparently, amazing energy and empowerment was released leading to some great project outcomes as well as increased self-esteem and initiative.
