How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I first learned about World Café in 2008 when participating in the preparation of an international conference. I co-organised and participated in a few World Cafés thereafter. In Dec. 2012, I participated for the first time in an AoH training near Geneva, Switzerland, and again in November 2013. I find the methods very empowering and believe that they have the potential to unleash good forces.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I applied AoH mainly in my association work (volunteering) so far, but am endeavouring to bring it into daily life and work as well. I would say I am a beginner practitionner.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Organisational development
Strategy development
International development cooperation
Dear Violette, How lovely to see you here. I totally remember you and my experience in Switzerland with the World Cafe. That was such a fun and fascinating experience. I mostly remember how fabulous it was to work with you. Would even welcome a little skype check in at some point. Kathy
Lovely to have you join us, Violette! There are plenty of resources here, have a look at what people are posting, harvesting, offering as events, and more. Please do add a picture so we can really "see" you here. And the more active all of us are, the more active our community will be. Welcome!
