How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I learned about the AoH from my friend Meni Rosenberg, who's working, mostly in Israel, on collaborative making of communal places. It was the fall of 2009, and we were walking along the Jaffa Promenade. I was attracted, as a student of social life, by the possibility of being involved with people who are experimenting with innovative ways to organize social institutions.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
As of May 2011, I have read and heard some about the AoH, but I haven't participated in a major training.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Currently, I am involved with the AoH as a researcher. I am a PhD student in sociology at the U of Chicago, and I hope to write my dissertation about projects that use the AoH.
