How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
2006 or 2007 the Whidbey Institute. I was drawn to AoH because of my interest in The World Cafe and Open Space.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I feel that I'm an experienced practitioner, and I aspire to be a steward.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Strengthening families to prevent child abuse and neglect; compassionate community; food justice

Prayer for Bear

A prayer for OSR 17.doc

At the recent AoH retreat on Bowen Island, I read this prayer from the book "In the Bear's House" (by N. Scott Momaday) as part of the closing one afternoon. The whole citation is in this document, which I prepared for the newest OSR cohort a month ago.
