How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I am signed up for the Art of Collaborative Leadership taking place in Halifax March 16-18. Kathy Jourdin sent out pre-workshop and from my understanding, the Art of Hosting is going to be used for an ongoin online dialouge.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Well, if you use this on an ongoing basis it will tie into the work I do in the area of culture and diversity consulting and training.
Where do you live/work?
I live in Halifax and as of March 31 when the funding ends for my current job, I will be starting my own consulting business (social enterprise).
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
Too many passions and interest to list but here are a few.
Social justice, especially for children and youth
Learning and Teaching
Ethics (or lack thereof) by journalist/reporters and the media
Cross-cultural communication and awareness
Accountability, integrity and honesty - questioning the status quo (just becuse we've always done it this way doesn't meam it works)
