Profile Information

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
Attended AoH in 2007 with Peter & Tim Merry, Tatiana Glad and Arjen Bos. SInce than I have been practicing AoH in my work. Started to give the training myself with Arjen Bos, Lieven Callewaert & Lenneke Aalbers from 2008/2009. In 2013 I cocreated a new Art of Participatory Leadership training with Lieven Callewaert and Minouche Besters, in which participants bring in their own project/case and bring this a step further in their practice of hosting. The community of practitioners remains an active field for experimenting and sharing experiences.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
Together with Tatiana Glad from Impact Hub A'dam we intend to revitalise the AoH community in the Netherlands. I've been asked to become a steward .... Very excited about that!
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Connnecting the inner work we have to do as a host with the process of true integration of differences (re Mary Parker Follet) on a deeper level that is needed to form a real group of sustainable relationships. And from there generate true collective decision making and action.
Where do you live/work?
Utrecht, the Netherlands
Would you like to share a web address?
http://qyo.nl
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
At the moment Mary Parker Follet is a true source of inspiration for me. It reminds me of the hard work we have to do in ourselves and in our relations to reach true integration of differences, where there are no winners and loosers (on the surface), and instead find each other on deeper levels of who we truly are and what we deeply long for, where new solutions and ideas are co-created for the world we do want to live in.

Hello, Sandra, and a big welcome to the Art of Hosting community!... though you've been "here" for quite some time! Post a photo when you can so we can really "see" you here. Then join in with all the conversations and different groups. You'll find plenty of resources here, too, to help you deepen your practice. And the more you add to your profile, the more the community can learn from you and share with you. We hope you will find value in exchanging in this virtual community to complement the great work that you're all stewarding in the Netherlands!
