How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I first learnt about the Art of Hosting at an International Association of Facilitators event.I then attended 2 training events in the UK- dates possibly 2007 and 2009?
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
The events I attended were both formative experiences for me and made me re-evaluate my development as a facilitator.I am an experienced partactitioner with expertise in action learning. I spend most of my time now training and accrediting new action learning facilitators.I use some of the techniques I learnt through AofH when hosting large events
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Action learning. I am particularly interested in it as a tool for organisational and social change - eg working with Oxfam in the Middle East to empower young women leaders or with UNHabitat in the Global Land Tools Network
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
I have a great belief in the transforming power of action learning for individuals, organisations ( in all sectors) and as a way of making societies more humane and just. I am interested in the exploration of mindfulness as an area of development for facilitators
