How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
An Art of Hosting training came to my home and then workplace at West Lexham in Norfolk as one of the first groups we hosted in 2011 and since then I have made many lasting friendships within the community and participated on different levels in workshops and practice grounds in the UK and Greece.
Entering into this way of working and being in community felt like opening a door to surprise party! Delightful and impact full :)
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I am a starting practitioner. I have been part of a few hosting teams and am starting to work with the tools and techniques in my day to day activities supporting visionary change makers and social entrepreneurs in the start up stages of their place-based and community focused projects.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Supporting the early development and transitional stages of projects which connect people to themselves, their community and to nature. With a focus on place.
Lovely to have you join us, travelling Lucy! There are plenty of resources here, have a look at what people are posting, harvesting, offering as events, and more. Please do add a picture so we can really "see" you here. And the more active all of us are, the more active our community will be. Welcome!
