How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I was first introduced to Margaret Wheatley's work in the late 90s while I was in graduate school. I love that the practices were based on the way living systems work.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I am a practitioner. I've incorporated art of hosting methodologies into my work as a trainer and facilitator. The largest event was using Open Space at a statewide organizational conference with 600 people. Now I am interested in taking my practice to the next level. I am especially interested in how AoH can be used to transform education.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
I primarily work in public education. I am interested in how AoH can used in teacher practices but also to create whole school change.
Where do you live/work?
I live in Sugar Grove and work around the country.
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
I love to create, to understand how things work, to facilitate experiences that allow deep personal and collective insight. I want to learn more about the art of holding space and harvesting the wisdom of a group.
