Profile Information:

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I "met" the community of practice in Nova Scotia, Canada in 2010, on the beautiful Windhorse farm where I worked as a gardener. It then "resided" in my mind for a couple of years after my return to Sweden. I was eg inspired by AOH´s connection to the Shambhala community in NS, and of their perspective on "engagement for community health" . Engagement for the world is seen as a core quality and an "embedded" ingredient in the daily practice and service of the Shambhala community.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
With inspiration from Nova Scotia, I took the initiative to call a training which took place in Järna, Sweden in March 2013. It was hosted within the transition network, - a network which really got empowered by the training, giving its members new tools and approaches in their work with complexity and change. It includes me, and today I continuously take the knowledge and experience harvested from the AoH into my work as a project coordinator, workshopleader, community- member and facilitator.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Encouraging participatory processes within the framework of sustainability and in the empowerment of strengthening bottom-up, community based initiatives in their work for sustainability.
Where do you live/work?
Järna/Gnesta/Stockholm + nationally + internationally
Would you like to share a web address?
http://realsproject.org
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
I look forward to further explore practices which are based in nature - eg vision quests, trekking forest retreats and solitary retreats, with the purpose to empower us in the four fold practice.
