How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I learned about an immediately applied AoH techniques in the European Commission, Brussels in 2007 with the big support of George Por, and supported the very first training there with Monica Nissen, Phil Cass and Toke Moeller.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I support, coach, design and host participatory events for beginners or experiences clients. I am an experienced process designer, skillful and subtle host, coach, community builder and pioneer of collaborative practices. For over two decades, I have been supporting teams and individuals at the highest levels of business, politics, non-profit organisations and civil society.
My clients come to me when they need to go deeper and further in their work than they are able to go alone. They are often leaders seeking a shift or transformation - at an individual, team or organisational level.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Seeing the big picture, and the potential for evolution. Training others to share their practice and to apply it in every field of live, personal or work related. I specialise on creating a "community muscle", train the thinking as and for the collective. True sensing and sourcing deeper. I am a natural connector.
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
Connecting fearlessly communities with diverse backgrounds. Creating trust and a safe space. Collective story harvest instead of penal discussion. Making any training participatory also in the academic world. My passion are Salons, salon talks, salon events, salon research. I am hosting my own salons and those of other people.
Thanks Ursula. I am so excited to be part of this community. I feel this is the start of a great collaboration! What a wonderful way for all of us the connect around the world with one intention! I am writing a book which will include the theory that I use in my Philosophy Community of Inquiry classes and also Mind Maps of the learning that my students (teenagers) have created together.Greetings to all!
