Kathy Jourdain

Profile Information:

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I have been a practitioner of the Art of Hosting and many of the different forms in which it now shows up since my first training in November 2005 on Bowen Island. Because it is ingrained in everything I do, including how I live my life and celebrate my relationships, I am also very much a steward of this work in the world.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Large scale systems change, particularly in health care, particularly in Nova Scotia, but not limited to either.
Where do you live/work?
I live in Nova Scotia, am privileged to do a lot of my work here and also honoured to travel to other locations in Canada and elsehere in the world to do the work I am called to do.

Hi Kathy - hope all is going good for you.  Looking forward to seeing you in Columbus for ALIA.

Thank you for the Art of Stewarding article! It's both encouraging and validating in my work of engaging community in conversations that are meaningful to their specific needs.

    Hi Kathy,

yes it's likely that Rachel or Sophia commented that I live in NB. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend. I've sent the invitation to everyone I know though! I only have one training paid by my Centre of research and I used it for AoH Halifax so I don't have the means to pay the fees. But we could also meet for dinner one of the nights you are in town if we don't make it on the 28th, or of course we can also keep virtual for now. All the best, Natasha

Nice to be your friend, Kathy. I am learning about shamanism these days. I know you are into that as well. And reading Urban Shaman, from Steve Kahili.

I agree, chere Kathy, although I am still a bit inexperienced....the red-tailed hawk has been calling me lately, and I am doing research into its meaning. Looking forward to our encounter! btw, how is it over the (50th) hill? Bises
