How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I attended my first training in 2006 in denmark hosted by Toke, Monica, Sven Ole and Charlotte Mannsted. Since then I have participated in a range of trainings and started to organize, convene and host trainings in Berlin, Hazelwood, UK, Karlskrona SE and Århus, Denmark
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I see myself as a practioner of the art of hosting and harvesting conversations that matter.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
How to create meaningful and powerful coversations.
How can harvesting help leverage the power and impact of our conversations.
Theory U and the creative process - especially in nature.
Where do you live/work?
Bogota, Colombia
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
Intuition, creativity, collective intelligence, the transforming power of nature and engaging in and hosting meaningful conversations.
Two guiding phrases these days are:
Listen to the Silence and See the Invisible
and
I want to connect to our sense of being indigenous to place and to the inherent knowledge that we all hold about how to be in conversation.
Buenos dias mi amigo - y espero que nos veremos pronto, dar iqual donde, sera siempre un delicio - que tengas buen viaje y besos a tu familia xxxxx Linda
Thanks for friending me, very welcoming. I hope you are well? As a result of working with Sharon M and attending your and Nick's course, I joined the recent AoH training just outside of Brussels. A wonderful experience. Thanks for being part of my journey to get there.
Just checking in with this, having been out of the loop a little. It's looking great! Well done you and Ria and whoever else has helped with this. In due course I may send invites to join the UK group to get that buzzing again. It's been a little quiet since that gathering in Birmingham earlier in the year!
Thank you, Rowan - it's good to be back home. I feel so far from Karlskrona now, but it is inspiring to be connected to other practitioners this way. I hope to contribute meaningfully and grow the community with all of you.
Bests,
Brendan
Hey Rowan! As might have noticed, I've been inviting the active Brazilians to join the network here--- many conversations happening there and I think it'd be nice if they spread around here too. :)
best,
A>
Thanks Rowan,
I'm excited to have landed here. I look forward to moving more deeply into the Art of Hosting over the months to come, gathering wisdom from the community.
Cheers,
Mark
Hi Rowan...Are you in Colombia? Are you Colombian? I lived in Bogota for a year and studied at the National University there.
I hope one day to come back to visit as that was SO many years ago--
Con carino,
Juanita
Dear Rowan, thank you very much for the welcome! I have a feeling that I'm at the right place :-).
I appreciate every help I can get and I will contact you soon. Hope we will meet in person some time.
All the best to everyone in New 2011 - I believe that it will be the year when AoH will be heard and used more than ever and we will have a chance to participate and contribute! Sanja
Thanks, Rowan. I am not sure how I originally became subscribed, but am happy to have become connected to the AOH community. After the initial flurry of messages, I went to the site and unsubbed from individual messages and subbed the digest mode. Perhaps you might want to highlight this option for people who may not be aware of it. Looking forward to your email, Rosemary
Hi Rowan,
Thanks for the welcome. We just wrapped the Calgary AoH, but a community of practice is launching next week here... And another AoH may be occuring in Fernie shortly. Have Trent connect with me.
