How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I learned about Art of Hosting through friends and colleagues. I have been working as a process designer and facilitator since 2005, and was part of the AoH Aarhus 2010 hosting team, and loved it!
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I have been practicing the methods and perspectives comprised by Art of Hosting since 2005 and consider myself AoH practitioner. I am self-employed as well as employed at Aarhus University, where I research and teach. I see a great potential for bridging AoH with academia through new ways of designing learning processes, and I believe that working with new ways of imagining and practicing education, can be a leverage for transitioning to more caring and sustainable ways of working and living together.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
My main focus is transformative processes, and my area of experience is within leadership development through experiential and transformative learning. Particularly, I am interested in the power of stories and metaphor as part of transformative learning. Moreover, I have worked extensively with the Circle both as a practice and as a metaphor in the context of leadership and organization.
