This is a time of profound shifts. All around us people have been inquiring into new ways of being, working together and stepping into wise action.
Those of us who are dedicated to the art of being human together through practices like Art of Hosting, World Café, Open Space, Circle, Appreciative Inquiry, Deep Democracy, Presencing, Graphic Facilitation, narrative and art forms, subtle hosting and many other ways of working have been gathering experience and wondering what comes next both for our world and our work.
We are calling an international learning village to meet in exploration and celebration together. We are inviting practitioners from all disciplines and practices to share their insight and their practice in a space of co-created learning.
This invitation comes from the Art of Hosting Community, but we’d like your help to spread this invitation to go much further because everyone’s invited!
FORMAT: There will be three waves to the Learning Village. We want to give our families and children the opportunity to get settled and have a project to work on, we want to sink deeper into collective learning, and we want a chance to explore the beauty and hospitality of sLOVEnia:
• 15 - 17 August: Working Bee. Arrive, settle in, work together with the community on a project or projects they name. Have time to work together, share stories, food, music. The project will continue during the coming week... This is also an opportunity for any other group meetings to happen. This part will be co-hosted by us and by Franc and the community
• 18 - 25 August: The International Learning Village. We will meet in circle, share our stories, live in Open Space for the week. This year we will focus even more on what we learn by learning together, as well as the many passion and questions we bring. We will continue to work on our community project. This part will be hosted by a Hosting Team.
• 26 - 31 August (or some part of this): An opportunity to take it slow and beautiful in sLOVEnia. This part will be hosted by Franc, who would love to show us more of his wonderful and very hospitable land.
