How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
online in April 2021 through a co-trainer in Deep Talk who shared with our group information about the Art of hosting
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
new - though the Art of Hosting hss similar values with Deep Talk.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
I was part of the development of Stories for the Soul (Story, Community, Creativity) for older people in care homes and am developing stories with others for wellbeing for schools (with an approach similar to the art of hosting). We are setting up as an online training organisation (which would have an emphasis on methods of storytelling with the values of curiosity, openness, holding paradox, transformation) and are very interested in the model that you are using. We would really appreciate if there is anyone who might be available for a chat with us!
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
using an approach to sharing stories with similar values as the Art of Hosting that enable people to connect with themselves, others, the environment, the transcendent - to be human!
Hello, Kathryn, and welcome to the Art of Hosting community! Glad to see you here. Post a photo when you can so we can really "see" you here. Then join in with all the conversations. You'll find plenty of resources here, too, to help you deepen your practice. And the more you add to your profile, the more the community can learn from you and share with you. We hope you will find value in exchanging in this virtual community! You will be able to find people to discuss with about story telling. Our true steward in that field is Mary Alice Arthur! Reach out to her, I feel certain she'd be available for a chat...
