How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
First time I got to know the term "hosting" at the Ecovillage Design Education in Sieben Linden ecovillage in Germany in 2009.
We spent the month together with 30 amazing people from around the world - from India, South-Africa, Malawi, Sierra Leone, Columbia, Germany, UK, France, Finland. The month was full of meaningful conversations and collective wisdom about learning how to live on this planet again.
I think I learned in this short-time-intentional-community more than I had ever learned in my life. Much of that was because we were so carefully hosted by Kosha Anja Joubert and Martin Stengel.
There I met Benjamin Degenhart, who told me about a community of practitioners of the _Art_ of Hosting. I was sold.
I joined my first AoH training in August 2010 at Ã…rhus, Denmark.
Now I'm learning to host in many situations in my life - in the community I live, in our co-owned business and with people we work with. We've been building the community of practitioners in Finland for some years now, I am glad to see people enjoying meaningful conversations more and more: aohsuomi.wordpress.com
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I'm already somewhat experienced pracititioner.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
learning communities, open space, minimalistic interventions
