Profile Information:

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
Deb Ballam from Ohio State invited me to the Art of Hosting at the Mid-Ohio Food Bank in December 2009. I had no idea what I was walking into! I remember describing the experience as being akin to Jack Skellington's discovery of Christmastown. "What's this?!"
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I'm a little more experienced than a starting practitioner. I've been weaving AoH practices and principles into my work and apprenticed for the Art of Hosting training at Deer Creek Lodge in February 2010.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
I am focused on promoting deep listening, personal accountability, and organizational effectiveness. I use AoH principles and practices in my work, looking for opportunities to equalize power dynamics in conversations and bring AoH principles in at those times. And, my church's leadership development committee has asked me to put together some workshops for the church based on AoH practices.
Where do you live/work?
Columbus, Ohio
Would you like to share a web address?

Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
I am most energized by the work being done by "religion workers," teachers, and others whose work serves others, including management and customer service.
