How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
Today, 17 februari, i found THE link on THE theory U linkedin group. I was triggered by THE book from meg wheatley Walk in walk on.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I am an experienced group facilitator and have worked with many teams and groups in Work settings. I have created powerfull learningspaces and want to put my hosting capacities in service of à better humane, connected, sustainable future.
At the moment I am part of a place called the Waarmakerij in Nijmegen there we organise projects, days around sustainable world, NL in Dialoog, Inspiration Shot, durf te vragen sessies.
I'm also part of a network Bezield leiderschap.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
I have worked with teams on various topics but mainly in finding new ways to Work together, defining new goals, finding ways to set aside differences and conflicts.
At the moment I am exploring the possibility to host conversations that matter on a city level. I'm looking for partners to host the gatherings and organisations/callers to bring in questions that matter to nijmegen. We want to help Nijmegen to give it self an upgrade in the field of work, healthcare, education, sustainability, food, mobility.
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
I'm very passionate about empowering people and help to acknowledge and explore their talents. Our educational system has done much damage to THE selfesteem of people.
I want to reconnect people with their strong talents and passions and invite them to bring these talents in to excellence. It is high time we all live and Work from THE best we have to give.
I like to be a host that helps people to connect and communicate in an empowering way about the local and personal issues and help to build a space to interact and take action on the things that matter to them.
