How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I attended my first AOH workshop in Goa in March 2016, which was organised by my friend Joanna. I was attracted by her endorsement of the AOH toolset as a potential "operating system" for the community around us and for communities of the future.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
Starting practitioner. In India, we have since brought AOH tools to organisations in our community and to our own projects. I am using every opportunity to practice wherever and whenever I can.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Clarity around what we want to harvest, what is the intention of this conversation; who to invite, and how to ensure all feel heard. Hosting to enable communities to find their voice, to move through "stuckness" and engender a sense of belonging and togetherness.
Where do you live/work?
Goa, India. Although I am currently in Canada for 2 months. And am originally from London, UK.
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
I discovered a talent for live harvesting in the form of spoken word poetry. Also I enjoy harvesting in general and using technology as an optional part of that process.
Hello, Heenal, and welcome to the Art of Hosting community! Glad to see you here. Post a photo when you can so we can really "see" you here. Then join in with all the conversations. You'll find plenty of resources here, too, to help you deepen your practice. And the more you add to your profile, the more the community can learn from you and share with you. We hope you will find value in exchanging in this virtual community!
